Each nation may enter one team, with five players on court and up to twelve competitors in a squad. The competition begins with pool stages, followed by knockout rounds that lead to the medal matches. 

The sport follows the core principles of running basketball, with adaptations to ensure fairness and flow. Look out for the shot clock, travel, double dribbles, timeouts, free throws, and charging, creating a fast and strategic game that captivates spectators.
