OUR VENUES

National Exhibition Centre (NEC)

Designed with accessibility at its core, the NEC offers step-free access throughout, strong transport connections, and facilities that support competitors, families, spectators, and workforce alike. Its scale allows for a seamless, connected experience where everything is easy to navigate and designed to remove barriers to participation.

For the first time in Invictus Games history, the NEC will operate as a fully integrated Festival Hub, bringing sport, accommodation, and community activity together in one accessible location.

As the central hub of the Games, the NEC will create a shared space where competitors, families, and supporters come together, strengthening connection and celebrating the Invictus Spirit.

Sandwell Aquatics Centre

Built for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, the Sandwell Aquatics Centre will host swimming in a world-class environment designed for inclusive sport.

The venue has been carefully designed to enhance the spectator experience, with clear sightlines, comfortable seating, and an atmosphere that brings audiences closer to the action. Accessibility is embedded throughout, with step-free access, dedicated viewing areas, and facilities that support a wide range of needs.

Combining elite competition with an inclusive, welcoming environment, Sandwell Aquatics Centre will deliver a powerful and memorable experience for competitors and spectators alike.

Both venues are fully integrated into our accessibility planning, ensuring barrier-free participation and spectating.
