We can’t wait to welcome you to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027. To make sure you have the best time please take a few moments to read the information below. This information will continue to be updated so please keep checking back for updates.

Travel to the venue

All of the sports, festival, and ceremonies will take place at the NEC, with the exception of the swimming which will take place at Sandwell Aquatics Centre.

Arriving at the venue:

The gates to our sport and ceremony venues will open in advance. The time may vary across the days so please check the schedule closer to the event (subject to change). Please arrive nice and early, experience the festival areas, get some food and drink, and take part in any of the on-site activations, but don’t worry, if you’re short on time, the festival areas will remain open all day long. 

Once you arrive at the venue you will be greeted by volunteers and signage to help guide you to the entrance points. 

There will be two main access points into the Invictus Games 2027 at the NEC, one will be within the NEC Piazza and closest to the train station, and the other will be on the opposite side of the venue to the north east, and is closest to the car parks. Either of these entrances can be used by spectators, and both are accessible. 

To access the BP Pulse arena, follow the travel advice for the NEC and follow the signage to the venue entrance. The entrance is fully accessible. 

To access Sandwell Aquatics Centre, follow the travel advice, once on venue follow the directions to the one entry point. This entrance is fully accessible. 

To access each venue you will pass through a security check before then having your ticket scanned. All lanes and access points are fully accessible.

Please ensure you have checked and downloaded your tickets in advance of arrival. If you're accessing your tickets electronically on your phone or other device, remember to make sure it's fully charged before you arrive. Your ticket will be scanned at the site entrance, and then again at individual venues if you have purchased a sport session or a ceremonies ticket. 

Ticket office information points will be available at the venue should you need any assistance on the day. 

Search and Bag Policies:

Your safety and security are our number one priority.

Please minimize the number of possessions you bring with you to the event. For your safety there will be bag searches and walk through body scanners, all of which will be fully accessible. As with any large scale event there will be a large presence of safety and security teams on hand should you require any assistance. 

Bag Policy - If you do need to bring a bag please ensure it is no bigger than A4 size (21cm x 30cm x 19cm). Larger bags will not be permitted into the venue, please where possible do not bring them, however if you really need to then bag storage facilities are available at venues which may be subject to additional charges. 

If you have a medical condition that requires you to bring items that do not meet our bag or restricted items policy, you will need to complete a medical exemption form. We will work with you to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your day and access the venue. The form will be available closer to the event.

Activities onsite:

Merchandise:

Merchandise shops will be located across the venues, as well as the option to buy online. 

Food and Drink:

There will be a wide range of food and drink available across all the venues, and within the festival. Spectators will not be permitted to bring food and drink into the venues, unless for medical purposes, or if it is for babies or small children. A medical exemption form will need to be completed, and will be available closer to the event.

There will be water re-fil points across all venues, we encourage spectators we bring empty reusable metal or plastic bottles (up to 500ml, glass is not permitted) which can be filled up at each venue. Invictus Games 2027 is committed to reduce the amount of single use plastic waste that can be created. 

Cashless Event

Our venues are cashless venues, to ensure speed of service. Debit cards and credit cards will be accepted as well as other methods of contactless payments.
