WHEELCHAIR RUGBY 5s
Wheelchair Rugby 5s is an intense and fast‑moving team sport. Known for its physicality, strategy, and high‑energy gameplay, it brings together mixed‑gender teams in a thrilling contest that demands strength, control, and teamwork.
Each nation may enter one team, with five players on court and up to ten competitors in a squad. The competition begins with pool stages before progressing to knockout rounds.
Controlled contact between chairs is allowed, with safety rules such as restrictions on contact behind the rear axle. Look out for lots of tries, the key area, sin bin penalties, and time‑based restrictions, creating a gripping spectator experience.
