IG27 announces InBudget as Official Cost Planning and Software partner

InBudget will support financial planning and reporting for the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 as the Official Cost Planning and Budgeting Software Provider, helping to deliver the eighth edition of the Games at the NEC Birmingham and Sandwell Aquatic Centre from 10 to 17 July 2027.

InBudget’s intelligent event management platform will support Birmingham 2027 in delivering the Games with greater efficiency, transparency and fiscal responsibility.

The software platform integrates budgeting and reporting, procurement and contract management, project management, and risk and issue management in a single system designed specifically for the unique challenges faced by major event organisers.

InBudget’s founder, David Berry, with 20 years of experience planning and delivering major events around the world, said:

“It’s a privilege to be working with the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 team. We’ve built InBudget around the realities of planning and delivering major events, and we’re looking forward to working closely with Ben and the wider Invictus team between now and July 2027 to make sure the platform supports them as the planning evolves.”

Ben Shepherd, Chief Financial Officer of the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, said:

“InBudget gives us faster, more detailed budgeting, real-time visibility across the organisation and reporting in minutes rather than days. The platform integrates seamlessly with our existing finance systems and, because it was designed specifically for major events, we were able to get up and running quickly. We’re confident it will support us all the way through to July 2027.”

The partnership follows InBudget’s role as Official Cost Planning and Budgeting Software Provider for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
