Fisher House Foundation named Official Partner of the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, supporting the Family and Friends Programme

Fisher House Foundation has been named an Official Partner of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, supporting competitors and their families as they come together in Birmingham next summer to celebrate recovery and rehabilitation through sport.
For more than 35 years, Fisher House Foundation has provided military and veteran families with a free place to stay close to loved ones receiving medical treatment. It has built over 100 Fisher Houses across the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Each Fisher House has up to 20 private suites, with families sharing a communal kitchen, laundry facilities, a dining room and a living room, creating a genuine support network with other families going through similar experiences.
Since its inception, Fisher House Foundation has welcomed more than 570,000 families and saved them an estimated $650 million in lodging and travel costs.
Fisher House Foundation has been a founding partner of the Invictus Games since the Movement began in 2014. In Birmingham, Fisher House Birmingham sits alongside Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, supporting families while wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans receive specialist treatment and rehabilitation.
For many in the Invictus community, Birmingham is where their recovery journey began. Birmingham 2027 will bring competitors and families back to the city, creating an opportunity to celebrate their progress and recognise the families and communities who have supported them.
The Duke of Sussex meets former Invictus Games competitors Dave Watson and Stuart Robinson in July 2026 at Fisher House, where both of their families stayed while they received treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
