SPORT MANAGER

THE ROLE

We are looking for 3 Sport Managers to join our fantastic team at Invictus Games Birmingham 2027.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the planning and delivery of 2 Sports from the Invictus Games 2027 programme.

  • Drive integration between functional areas of the Games, host venues and key suppliers.

  • Assist functional area leads in the development of sport plans that work for all delivery areas, ensuring these meet the agreed service levels and timelines.

  • Assist the Sports Director in the management of the functional area budget lines, driving value for money alongside operational excellence.

  • Develop strong positive collaborative relationships, working with key partners and contractors for Games venues and any subcontracted areas of delivery (e.g. Sport Presentation, Results)

  • Deliver an innovative approach to planning and ensure that resource is used efficiently.

  • Ensure that sport plans incorporate a world class approach to accessibility and place the Invictus competitors at the heart of planning

  • Contribute to the event risk register, identifying, managing and escalating risks in line with the risk management policy

These are 3 full time, fixed term roles to July 31, 2027, with flexible start dates. Ideally 1 to start in November 2026 and 2 to start in January 2027.

The salary for this position is £46,000 per annum (depending on experience).

This role shall be based at our Birmingham office and flexible, hybrid working arrangements are available with the Organisation.
