Sonia leads programmes that deliver measurable impact and improved outcomes for Armed Forces communities. Previously, she was Director of Policy and Communications at the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, where she helped develop the organisation and led programmes of support for veterans and their families. Sonia’s career spans roles in the Ministry of Defence, the charity sector, and Lottery distributors, focusing on policy, strategy, and corporate management.

Sonia has a longstanding interest in social policy, impact measurement and improving outcomes for the Armed Forces community. She holds a Masters in Grant Making Management from Bayes Business School and a postgraduate business administration qualification from the Open University. She is also a Clore Social Fellow.

Away from work, Sonia is a former Paralympic athlete, having competed in wheelchair basketball at two Paralympic Games. Her experience in elite sport and high-impact delivery informs her approach to leadership and strategic programme development.
