Team UK stars shine at British Indoor Rowing Champs

A team of former Invictus Games competitors joined members of the wider adaptive sports community to compete at the British Rowing Indoor Championships 2025, held at the NEC Birmingham. The event was supported by the Invictus Games Foundation in collaboration with the newly formed RBL Team UK Alumni.

Around 20 UK Invictus Games Alumni took part, alongside professional and amateur athletes from across the UK.. For many competitors who had yet to experience the Games, the championships offered a first glimpse of the competitive spirit, teamwork, and resilience that will feature at Invictus Games Birmingham 2027.

The event highlighted the power of sport to foster recovery, confidence, and connection among wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans. Competitors demonstrated determination, strength, and camaraderie, reflecting the enduring values at the heart of the Invictus movement.

This championship reinforced the Invictus Games Foundation’s commitment to providing opportunities for adaptive sport throughout the year, creating pathways for athletes to continue developing skills and experience in preparation for future Games.
