Lee Hazard
deputy director programmes & impact delivery
Lee has over 30 years’ experience in the Armed Forces, serving in both the Army and Royal Navy. His operational tours include Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan, alongside humanitarian and counter-piracy missions. Lee holds a Masters in Defence and International Relations from King’s College London and is an alumnus of the Defence Academy.
He has held senior MOD roles, including Senior Strategic Medical Advisor during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was awarded the Order of St John for his pandemic work and the Order of the British Empire for services in Afghanistan. While seconded to Invictus UK 2027, Lee continues as Head of the Royal Navy’s Medical Services Specialisation and Honorary Physician to the King.
Outside the military, Lee is a keen historian, road cyclist, alpine skier and youth rugby coach. He brings extensive operational experience and leadership expertise to the planning and delivery of Invictus Games programmes.
